  3. This is SO good! I listened the other day & I’m listening a second time today. You are SO right about the biggest key is what’s going on in our heads. If we don’t accept & love ourselves as we are, we will not have long-lasting success. I am FINALLY starting to get this truth…. I have tried SO many times to eat well to feel well & lose weight but every single time I ended up self sabotaging myself. I could succeed at times short term but it never lasted. It was as if something in me refused to allow me to maintain good changes. No more!!   5. Thank you Dani. This video was very encouraging to me. I have been so disappointed in myself. I lost 55 lbs a few years ago due to my lab work showed that my glucose was a little bit higher than the normal range. After losing the weight my lab results were normal again. I very slowly put a small amount of weight back on over about a 2 year time span. After that, my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and I took early retirement to care for him. Instead of using my free time to get in better shape and start losing weight again, I acted like I was on vacation, eating with no boundaries. I had time now to cook all those comfort food recipes and we started eating out a lot just to get out of the house. Now I have put most of my weight back on and my blood sugar is a little higher than normal again. I have started making better choices, but weight loss is very very slow. The good news is my blood sugar is improving. Still I need to lose weight and be healthy so I can take care of my husband and enjoy my life the best that I can. I’m 62 and I don’t want to be a sick, fat, old lady. I definitely need to change my mindset. I’ll admit, I’m pretty down on myself. I keep asking myself, “ what was I thinking! How did I let this happen,” I feel that I know a lot of things that I should be doing, but I keep procrastinating and feel like I will just keep failing or I will be successful and then be fighting weight gain my whole life.
